There is a vibe in an urban environment that I find fascinating.
I enjoy the energy in a big city, learning the layout, admiring
the architecture, visiting an art gallery or observing peoples'
adaptations to city life. My Urbanus Series is based on this
keen interest in the urban environment. My art reflects my response
to architecture, culture, design, infrastructure, globalization,
neighborhood, public art, history and demographics. I create
contemporary, abstract topographies using wood, paint, pencils
and markers to illustrate the rich layers of urban life. |
